It might help dull symptoms as a form of mental escapism, but I've known people that ended up losing jobs and relationships because they began escaping for 10-16 hours a day in to games. And I'm not sure that many of those with severe depression have the self control to keep their gaming habits to what we might call moderation. Obviously people with depression can find some solice in gaming, but when you have  video titled how games can "beta" depression, well thats just wrong. games will not solve the underlying issue of depression, ever.

You're only saying that because you're cynical, and totally downplaying what Boogie said at the end of the video.

If that's how you feel, then you might as well look right at other patients who've curbed depression through gaming and tell them there's no hope for any of them.

He's talking more about anxiety in his case at the end. That's fine. Depression is a different beast altogether. Carrying a Nintendo Ds with you isn't going to help you treat your depression, period. It might help temporarily ease symptoms, but I'm skeptical of that being healthy either in the long term, as many with depression will use gaming to escape from dealing with their depression to begin with.
