Sony reaches 525 million Playstation System sell-through milestone and commemorates it with a limited translucent PS4 Pro Edition

August 9, 2018 - Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced that it will introduce a specially designed PlayStation®4 Pro (PS4™Pro) “PlayStation®4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition” (HDD 2TB) from August 24, 2018, and will be available at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 49,980 yen in Japan, $ 499 USD in North America and €499 in Europe*1. With PlayStation® (PS) hardware sell through surpassing 525.3 million units worldwide, the Limited Edition PS4™Pro is a thank you to all the fans who have supported and enjoyed entertainment on the platform. Only 50,000 limited edition PS4 Pro consoles will be available and for the first time comes in a dark blue translucent design on PlayStation®4 (PS4™)

Limited to 50,000 units globally, the 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro marks PlayStation surpassing an incredible 500 million system sales worldwide. There will be chances to win the PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition as well as purchase it from select retailers across Europe from the 24th August. Packaged in a special translucent collector’s box, you’ll find a translucent dark blue 2TB PlayStation 4 Pro with a commemorative copper plate on its front, with its unique limited edition number. Bundled with the console is a matching Dualshock 4, vertical stand, mono-headset, plus a special dark blue PlayStation Camera and matching stand.
