I wouldn't be surprised if it's formally announced soon since the series is developed by Silicon Studio and they haven't done much in-terms of game development since 2015 besides Terra Battle 2 (a mobile game) in 2017. In addition to that, I remember the official Bravely Default twitter posting some Switch teaser art with Edea holding a pair of joycons late last year so they've probably been working on something Bravely Default related for a while.
