I don't buy the liberal argument that there are simply too many barriers for healthy normal functioning people to thrive.

It's not really a liberal argument.

Fact of the matter is, geographical location tends to have a stupidly massive influence on successful career employment, there are likely cities in the US of A for instance that tends to trend lower than the rest of the nation in terms of average income, employment rates and so on. - That's just a sad reality of life... And there are likely edge cases all over the planet where we can see the same occurrence.
And that is before we touch on economic strength, available resources, infrastructure, education, job to population ratios (I.E. China and India suffer there) and so on.

That doesn't mean that if you work hard or make the correct choices you can't succeed, far from it... It's just that there is significantly more barriers that prevents more people from reaching those same goals.

I would like to think I am "successful" considering I have three careers going, I work damn hard... But that is only because I had opportunities available and I didn't let them slip away. - Often I hear people tell me they couldn't do what I do, that's fair enough.

Right, I'm speaking as a person not in a fucked country. Which is why many people move to a country like the US. I didn't think that need to be clarified.

This is a large country where people do have the ability to move and find better opportunities, many do. Maybe some will have to move to find good opportunities. Many move simply because liberal leaning cities are too expensive. I live in a Phoenix so I meet people who left these cities all the time.

I'm not arguing everybody has access to the same goals. That's not really important in my opinion. There isn't a finite amount of opportunities to live well.
