No I think Nintendo is fine. We get a lot of free content and the extra content is just that...extra. They are not going crazy with it, if so they would have milked BotW for much more than they did. These games are rich with content and we have yet to see a case where they are locking part of the main game behind DLC. People need to stop reading too much into it. If you want it, buy it. If not, don't. It really is that simple.
Now if we start seeing games with like 2 or 3 separate season passes...then we can worry.
