My GTX 1070 is still fast enough for all games... and will probably be fast enough until the first multi-platform games PC/PS5/Xbox Scarlett arrive.

So I'll probably skip the 11x0 cards and wait for the 7nm-GPUs.

I plan to keep my 1070 for as long as I can.

I don't have anyhting against those that upgrade every year, but unless the actual hardware is limiting your gaming experience, I really don't see the need to upgrade.

My GTX 580 was the graphic card I used the longest: 36 months. I skipped the whole Kepler microarchitecture (600 and 700 series) and finally upgraded from GTX 580 to 970.

So far it looks that I'll use the 1070 even longer if nothing unexpected happens (or I'm in a buying mood when a good deal appears).

Extending the warranty to five years for 20 bucks wasn't my worst decision... even if I upgrade before that, the 1070 will run well in my brother's PC the rest of the warranty and beyond.
