The massive difference comes when you're adding the PS4 pro at just under 50k yen, practically double that of the PS3.

Pro is a premium model for the small number of people in Japan who care about 4k gaming just like there were more expensive premuim skus of PS3 with more storage for the small amount of people in Japan who cared about going full digital back then.

The price to get into the the PS4 ecosystem is only slightly higher than it was to get into the PS3 ecosystem at a similar point in their life cycles.
