He's disappointed in himself more than anything else. He believed the Wii U would sell well, it didn't. He then warned people about Switch, nobody should buy it because it would be the Wii U all over again. Since he can't admit to himself that he doesn't know enough to predict somewhat accurately, he directs anger at everyone and everything pro-Switch.

Yes I am ultra disappointed in Nintendo. Switch is basically the only console they support right now, yet it does so many things worse than Wii U even after years of preparation, experience, feedback and 1.5 years since its release. Good for Nintendo that they finally earn money again, but they shouldn't be rewarded for being so out of touch with modern gaming.

They turned the franchise around in 1 year, making not just a big profit again after the WiiU, but basically rebranding the face of the company, appealing to older teen instead of just kids and families (completely new ad strategy) and outputting some of the best games ever made in that same timeframe. And all the while revamping their online infrastructure to fit "modern" standards. If you think they are out of touch with modern gaming now than damn whatever modern gaming is.

But this isn't about what they are doing now. My guess is that whatever feelings you have, it will never be positive towards Nintendo anyway. I've seen time and time again these types of people that were "true" fans who did nothing but downplay and negatively pr everything, even the good that Nintendo does. So it's very transparent.

My advice is to get a grip. The Switch is a success and Nintendo isn't going anywhere. Accept it or move on.
