So now people suddenly like the idea of 3rd party exclusives? Good to know.

They could come to the PS4 and XB1 as well. Just made with the Switch in mind and not just ported after releasing on the other consoles. Im sure games like Octopath Traveler would do well on them.

That would be fine.  I wouldn't have a problem with that.  As long as there aren't technical problems, I don't see the need for games to skip platforms.

If Nintendo fronts the bill and published the game, why not?  Bayonetta 2 and 3 would not exist if not for Nintendo.  Nintendo published Octopath Traveler and helped fund the game.

There is a clear difference between investing and taking part of the publishing process vs simply buying timed exclusive rights for the hell of it.

Besides these are new IPs and collaborations I am talking about, not long standing franchises being locked off of other platforms.  Bayo 3 is the exception, but Sony and MS turned the idea down.  Blame them, not Nintendo.

I don't blame anyone for Bayonetta since I don't care about that game at all.  As for Octopath Traveler being funded by Nintendo, I'd like to read the source for that, please, as I haven't come across that.  Publishing doesn't mean much, though, as console manufacturers would love to publish a game in exchange for exclusivity.

That's fine, then, but at least make the situation realistic.  If Nintendo is going out and funding third party exclusives then let's make it so Sony and Microsoft are doing the same.  Let's fracture the market.  For example, Sony can publish a franchise like the main Persona series to keep it exclusive.
