but the way you describe it makes me think theres a hidden layer to your situation. i know that in many cases, compulsive shopping can be the result of loneliness or anxiety.

I'm pretty sure you have good point.  But a lot of people would buy a lot of useless stuff if they had $4K in disposable income in their bank.
