At least not if he put off by this experience because of a refusal to repair his original phones damage, that is an area that Apple are notoriously bad for even going so far as to try to sue third parties and prevent them from offering iphone repairs. And reported earlier this year for attempting (successfully in places) to brick phones which had been repaired without Apples permission.
