No Man's Sky multiplayer won't hit GOG until later this year, refunds being offered (Updated)

Owners of the DRM-free version of No Man's Sky, which is only available on GOG.com, will not have access to the game's new multiplayer features until later this year. That's according to a joint statement made by GOG and Hello Games on the GOG forums, where the news was released roughly three hours ago.
Update: Because of the delay in bringing multiplayer support to No Man's Sky on GOG, it is offering an extended refund policy on the game. Until 3 pm PT/6 pm ET on July 29, NMS owners can request a refund regardless of when they purchased the game.

Anamorphine, a "surreal adventure of rendered emotions" that follows the struggles of a young couple grappling with post-traumatic denial and depression, was originally supposed to be released in January. A last-minute delay pushed it into "late winter/early spring," but that ultimately evolved into mid-summer, as developer Artifact 5 announced today that its ambitious project will finally go live on July 31.

Dota 2 players in the Netherlands will enjoy a little leg up on their counterparts in other nations, thanks to a newly-added ability to see what's inside loot boxes before they purchase them. A Dota 2 Treasury screenshot posted by a redditor named Larhf contains a notation stating, "Treasures in your region show their contents before opening them."

 

Fortnite may be getting a sniper rifle that can shoot through walls

A new sniper rifle capable of shooting through walls could be coming to Fortnite, according to a new item entry data mined by Fortnite hub Storm Shield One.
The "heavy sniper rifle" is described as a slow, bolt-action weapon that can "pierce through the first wall it hits." Its item entry shows 157 damage and a reload time of four seconds, which is much higher than a standard legendary bolt-action sniper rifle's 116 damage and 2.7 second reload. Coupled with its piercing effect, this would make the heavy sniper rifle the most lethal long-range weapon in Fortnite, provided it is indeed real.

Heaven Will Be Mine is a "queer science fiction mecha" visual novel set in an alternate 1981 where mankind is trying to find a new place to live by exploring space in giant robots. Unfortunately, all they've found is "an intangible and ephemeral existential threat from beyond the solar system," so after a few decades of attrition, they decide to call it quits and return home—but not before an eight-day war breaks out between three factions.

 

Ni no Kuni 2 free DLC adds new bosses and quests, due August 9

Ni no Kuni 2 is getting three DLC packs. The first is free and is due August 9.
That, billed as The Adventure Pack, adds news floors to Broadleaf's Faraway Forest, two new bosses named Blackhart and Zeta, new costumes, and additional quests that yield special rewards. The second, "coming this winter", promises a new 'puzzling' dungeon wherein players "face a series of difficult challenges and powerful enemies", so says publisher Bandai Namco.

Endless Space 2 and Endless Legend to get new expansions in August
