It is also worth remembering this game only had one holiday so far-and it was the launch holiday. Skyrim is keeping a steady 10k-15k during regular weeks,I can imagine it doing very well during year's end.

Take a look at the sales of the three versions on current consoles. As is visible, the holidays, sales and so on had no major effect (we see a small holiday increase but nothing major). The major sales were in the launch period and the Switch-version is actually following this pattern. In the first 10 weeks on PS4 it sold a little more than 2M, since then it has added just short of another million. XBox-version sold 1,28M in the first ten weeks and adds another 420K in the following 74 weeks. So on PS4 the legs were 50% of initial sales, on XBox 33%. Even if we assume the Switch-version doubles it's sales from the first ten weeks, we land at 1.2M.

But you are ignoring a few points. First is that Skyrim on PS4/Xone saw a release at the end of september while the Switch launched a week prior to Black Friday. On PS4/Xone it had the chance to enjoy both the launch week and the full holiday. It also saw a price cut during those first 10 months while the Switch is still charting while still being full price, besides the install base argument.

Also,it is true that on Xbox One the sales stagnate after a while, but on PS4 there is a chance that the legs were cut short due to the launch of Syrim VR last holiday.
