Probably not, I suppose in extreme cases, like if I discovered that Nintendo sacrificed a person as each game went gold or that Sega was getting the Yakuza to...erm wait no. But seriously, I wouldn't boycott if the game or associated devs/publishers got caught up in something political. I also wouldn't buy a game in support of something a game dev or publisher did that I thought was right. I really only buy games because I'm interested in them, if I think i'll enjoy them.

For a start I don't think a sale gained or a sale lost necessarily communicates what I might want it to, under any circumstance. A publisher can come to any conclusion why I do or don't buy something. Same goes for non political reasons, e.g. I wouldn't buy/boycott Octopath Traveller in an attempt to sway Square Enix's design choices on future jrpgs, I'd base my decision on whether I wanted to play that game, as far as I'm concerned thats the only important factor.

In respect to something like the situation with Jessica Price, I can't hold such a strong conviction to boycott anything associated with her or anyone else. As far as I can tell, a person made a mistake, did something stupid, whether they pay the price with their job or not isn't even important to me, thats up to their employer and their contract. To avoid anything they touch seems...strange..to me. I have no idea of anything else about them, whether it was a one time bad day, if they've changed their opinions or anything else about them. It feels petty to me since I'm judging someone I don't know based on one small action or even if they repeatedly find themselves in controversy like Phil Fish did. Also to punish everyone else working on a game just because I don't like one person seems vindictive to me and a little too close to the behaviour of somebody calling for an employer to sack somebody I don't agree with.

So in summary, I won't buy or boycott a game to make a stand for something political.
