I see where you are coming from. But a lot of games these days (especially on mobile) do recquire Internet to play any content of it. Sooo dont expect this to change any time in the future. But expect to have more of it......

Of course, it's not impossible to play it on the go, but it's not really optimized for the Switch either. You know how other users love to say "This game really benefits from the portability of the Switch" anytime we talk about a port? This game isn't one of them.

The difference between mobile games using data and handheld online game is that mobile phones have a SIM card and data plan. Not the handheld. Popular online games on handheld are pretty rare, there is a reason for that.

It's a type of game that will be played mostly on dock mode.

Like I replied to you above this comment. People can use their Mobile phone as a hotspot for the Switch to connect to and play online. Very easy to do and allows more than 1 Switch to connect to (if you are playing with friends)

And the "Popular online games on handheld are pretty rare, there is a reason for that"

Well before the Switch there was only PSP/Vita and DS/3DS. They have hardware restrictions on what games can be ported on. And the whole "play online on the go" just started booming from the smartphones around 2010 - 2011.

Of course this online on the go is different to each scenario. Maybe a user does not have A lot or Zero data to play online on the go. Maybe they dont have access on free Public Wifi (Shopping malls)
