You and I have similar tastes. I went from loving God of War and thinking it was the greatest game ever to not even finishing it. I was having a blast, enjoying side quests and taking my time. There was one moment that gave me goosebumps. Then, I returned from Hades (or whatever it was), got the cure, and then never bothered with the game again.

Meanwhile I find myself waking up at 3am to slip in a few minutes of Detroit before I head to work. While it isn't much of a "game", it really has me engrossed.

That being said, the GOW reboot served to establish a new world... I potentially see as an amazing sequel.

And we have similar tastes because we're old now :P

While Detroit has its flaws, it's story is more grounded than Heavy Rain. And it doesn't have as many glaring plot holes as Heavy Rain either. I also enjoy the consequences of the decisions you make. Even if it is just a slight change of dialog. In all honesty though, Connor's character is what makes the game so good for me personally. He stole the show. What a well written character.
