Super Mario World .... I'm old enough to remember the hype. We had to wait almost 17 MONTHS for the SNES to hit shelves in Europe and in a meantime you could read the previews and reviews where it was praised as "one of the best games ever made" etc. The wait was unbearable, especially when you were 10 ... and I didn't get my SNES until my birthday, 6 months later. I know that many people were super hyped by Mario 64, but I never got N64 as by that time I was well into PC and my mind was already blown by Quake and Tomb Raider (again we, didn't get N64 in Europe until 6 months or so later).
