Not following. So NIS developed the Switch version entirely including the Japan version? I see now it does say NIS on this site.

The 4gamer listing (https://www.4gamer.net/games/406/G040672/) says that Nihon Falcom developed the game and that NIS is publishing it. That's confusing.

As far as I remember, one of the reasons behind the fact that NIS America got the contract for localizing Ys VIII is that the porting of the game would not have to be done by Nihon Falcom (hence the botched PC and Switch ports), so I'm not sure what's behind this.
