I played the original trilogy on PS1 and bought them again digitally on PSP (PSOne Classics). They were good games. Then, I bought the trilogy and for whatever reason didn't enjoy them very much. It's like the new coat of paint didn't "jive" with the old school mechanics or something. I barely played them.
I will say this though. While the original was challenging, it wasn't Rayman hard. It's not Cuphead hard. It's not Super Meat Boy hard. It's not old school Nintendo hard. It's just a nice trip down memory lane for those who liked them back then. Hope the Switch/XBO crowd enjoy it but it didn't do it for me.
