Even if the Lakers get Kawhi Leonard, who is probably the only guy in the league that can guard Kevin Durant one on one, they're still not beating the Golden State Warriors. Maybe the Rockets, but not that Warriors.
Unless they change their style, the fatal flaw that will do the Lakers in is that they love to get out and run, Magic Johnson wants a fast paced style, he wants "Showtime". LeBron likes to play a fast tempo too, as does Luke Walton. So in that sense, it was a perfect fit for LeBron because they love that fast, up-tempo style of play. The Problem: So do the Warriors, and they do it better than anyone else in the league today and have done better than anyone in the last 4 seasons. And they've built that style, tempo, and chemistry, over the course of those seasons.
You are not going to beat the Golden State Warriors at their own game, especially not in your first season with a new team. It's not gonna happen.
The best plan of attack against the Warriors is to slow the game down to a half-court offense, limit your turnovers, and most importantly of all, be physical with them. D them up, body them up. The Rockets came very close to beating them with that approach, (although they had some help with the injury to Andre Iguodala).
The second you try to outrun them, you've already lost.

They are going to have to sign another big time free agent just to make it out of the first round.  Plus they need to get rid of Lonzo that guy is a cancer and there is too much drama and not enough talent with that guy.  Don't think the Lakers have enough pieces to trade for Kawhi.  Plus Pops really doesn't want to trade him to another team in the West that way he can't come back and haunt them.  Anyway if the Lakers don't get another big time free agent the most they can hope for is the 7th or 8th seed the playoffs next season and get swept or loose in five in the first round.  Even if they get another big time free agent they are more then likely will loose in the second round.  Also if they don't get another big time free agent then LeBron pretty much has to play in all games again and play heavy minutes just so they can barely make it into the playoffs.
