The best looking portable FPS I recall was Killzone Mercenary for Vita it looked good on the original oled screen running in Vita's native res , so I wouldn't mind seeing how the more demanding Wolfenstein on Switch plays and compares.

Wolfenstein is graphically impressive, but I think that a less-intensive game that could lock at 60FPS and 720p while undocked would look really nice, I wonder if Metroid Prime 4 will be like that.

This game and Metroid Prime 4 will be totally different things, Wolfenstein 2 is multi platform port while MP4 will be game from ground made for Switch hardware and capabilities on mind.

Great results for a mobile effort with those levels of dynamic visuals.
Absolutely horrendous results for docked mode whichever way you cut the cake.

I think they should have leveraged baked lighting and shadowing for a performance uptick at the cost of development time... And then boosted that resolution.
640x360 is pretty bad and not what I would ever consider acceptable in the modern era.

I can't help but think the Call of Duty games on Wii. They made serious visual compromises to bring several CoD games to Wii, it really looked like PS2 in comparison. With Wolf 2 though, it seems like they really wanted to achieve a similar visual fidelity albeit at lower settings. It kinda looks like the 8th gen version but a really muddy version.

I don't feel like this is a game that utilizes the Switch well. It feels more like they just scaled it down until it worked well enough.

Agree, Wolf 2 port for Switch outside resolution looks indentical with almost all effects present.

I think it would better they were going for higher resolution without some effects.
