Well, it has been a bit more than the other years. I'm usually spending around €1000 - €1400 on games, so about €100 per month on average.

This year it have been €1900... PSVR + PCVR games are the main reason for that increase (more than €700 = VR games). But don't worry, I can afford that. ;)

Here is a more detailed comparison of 2016 and 2017:

  • thanks to the Switch, the Nintendo percentage increased
  • PS4 percentage increased mainly due to PSVR titles
  • Xbox One has plummeted due to the lack of new releases; 3DS + Wii U already were very low in 2016
  • PC is over 50% again, almost 100% digital now
  • "GOG & Co." includes all digital PC stores besides Steam... therefore a big gain from the Oculus store

Six months later I'm down to normal levels: around €100 per month for games:

  • Switch percentage fell because I only bought some good indie games (Golf Story, Thimbleweed Park, Agatha Knife, Goetia, The Long Reach)... Super Mario Odyssey is still my newest "full priced" Switch game
  • PS4 percentage increased to almost 30% due to a lot of exclusives I bought (God of War, Detroit: Become Human, GT Sport, Shadow of the Colossus, Moss, WipeOut Omega Collection)
  • Xbox One would be 0 € if I hadn't included the costs for two months XBL Gold
  • Vita got new Life with Danganronpa 3, Chaos; Child and Steins;Gate Zero
  • PC is still over 50% due to PCVR games (ARKTIKA.1, The Gallery 2, Virtual Virtual Reality, Space Pirate Trainer, Redout) and best versions of multiplatform games... Humble Bundle Monthly also had some awesome months
