Oh. And here I thought I was having a nice, educated and civilized conversation. Yet you resort to insults about me and my work, way of thinking and arguments.  Say what you want, in my eyes, MHW is just a pretty MH in HD. If your definition of a leap is being able to traverse the map without loading or picking up items on the fly, congrats.

As for me being a developer, I in fact am. I have nothing to prove to you, and just by throwing generic terms like "draw distance" you think like you show of technical prowess while I can bet you haven't written a single line of code in your life.

You keep insisting about AI, and concurrent monsters wandering the map, things that were doable many years prior to MHW. In fact, the sole reason Switch could not handle MHW is because of graphical details like grass, textures, particles and such, NOT calculations, AI, behavior.

Nevertheless, I am done with this conversation. Even if I am completely wrong, you have no right to insult me ("not a competent developer", "making a fool of yourself", etc). I want no answer from you. I will report you if you do. Have a nice day.

I have no sympathy for someone who claims a profession and in no way acts as though he is part of that profession. Like in the same paragraph you accuse me of insulting you (which didn't happen, I only called into question if you're being truthful), where you pretended that changing a game map from sectioned zones that are loaded separately to a solid continuous map doesn't rock the very core of gameplay. It shows that you're either a lackluster developer incapable of analysis, or simply a liar. Your pick.

Yeah, no. See my previous paragraph- you ignore massive changes to core gameplay that reverberate throughout the game, changing the game at all points of contact. Coupled with your vague dismissal of a pretty common term like draw distance (which also plays a pretty significant role in any open world game) continues to work against your favor.

Actually, old Monster Hunter games don't have other things happening simultaneously. Only zones with a monster or player are actively loaded and show behavior. That's why monster tend to load up in the same spot when you leave and enter, and why monsters on your screen aren't in the same spot on other people's screens. World handles the entire map in real time. Combine that with graphics that a base PS4 can barely handle and you've got a game that won't run in it's current state on Switch.

The only reason you seem to be done with this conversation is due to the call-out. It's not an insult to say you're either a liar or an incompetent developer- it's an either or. So which is it? Are you an incompetent developer who doesn't seem to understand how something like changing from sectioned zones to open world necessitates changes to every other aspect of the game and how it is played? Or are you a liar, claiming a profession in an attempt to render your argument infallible rather than actually make a point? And I didn't call you a fool, I simply pointed out that you will make a fool out of yourself if you don't make a change to your clearly flawed position.

I'm not sure why you are arguing with a guy who is boycotting because because they aren't supporting the system he loves, the  way he thinks they should, you already know there is a agenda.
