Of course you do. Because PS4/X1 might not feel the need to pick the remaster if they've played the original on their previous console. On the other hand, the Nintendo audience doesn't know the game at all so those people are more likely to pick it up. Remaster-only comparison is definitely not fair. Switch version not selling well compared to the original shows that this audience has little interest in core games like that.

This is a very naive assumption you are making that gamers only stick to a single brand, multi-console ownership was quite high last generation and according to Matt from NPD, it still is to this day.

Just because its the first time the game has come to a Nintendo console does not mean Switch owners havent previously played it on PS3, 360 or PC.
