The vast majority of people can help themselves, but choose to engage in trading of in-game stuff for fun and/or profit.  The same is true of loot boxes in general - what's the problem with gambling?  If you don't like it, don't do it.

Yeah everything is a choice but still we cannot help ourselves and not buy those kind of games in the first place.

There's a big problem with gambling when it is not isolated on its own like in casino's on board /table games and slotmachines purely designed for it .

Gambling on gaming acts parasitic because that whole entertainment sector did grow up without it and the more it grows onto it the more its going to make our games look like more expensive mobile games designed to give you doses of fun when you pay and when you do not want to pay you will mostly get a feeling of unfulfillment .

If you feel that way about those games, I encourage you not to purchase, or otherwise support them.  If someone else does enjoy those games, why should the law tell them that they're not allowed to enjoy them anymore?
