| MasterThief said: why not stop making starwar movies at all and do something new and creative. the whole concept of it is beyond outdated at this point it came at a time where people didn't know shit about space its a rhetorical question. but I really do hate starwars and its following. its the most generic combination of things ever. |
When Star Wars was conceived, humanity had already landed on the moon and were sending probes into the outer solar system and beyond, and our knowledge of relativity and classic mechanics were just about the same as today. When Star Wars doesn't seem "realistic," it is because of a conscious artistic choice. It's a space opera, mixing science fiction with elements of fantasy and classic mythology. It was never meant to be an exercise of futurism. Nobody claimed it was.
Even science fiction movies who try to make it as realistic as possible to our modern understanding of physics fail to do so on (entirely justified) grounds of making for a minimaly exciting and visually compelling experience, such as Gravity or Interstellar. Now, do feel free to dislike whatever movie you want based on its premisses, the characters, the plot etc. but do not do so on the basis of poor understanding. People are entitled to have opinions, as long as they fit with reality.
Also, your keyboard do have keys beside lowcase characters and the period. There's a reason we invented punctuation: it does make your text more readable and make you seem more intelligent to the eyes of others, even.
