JC? Jaicee? Janice? Now I'm confused

Janice is my real first name, of which JC is an abbreviation. Jaicee is a stylized version of JC. (It's "Janice" minus the N and plus an extra E to sound like "JC".)

"this one is a sort of coming-of-age story about the original protagonist's daughter"
Ellie is not Joel's daughter, did you play The Last of Us?
I hope you are not just boasting it now because you discovered Ellie likes women, she already did in her first appareance and she had already kissed a girl back there as well, and The Last of Us is a masterpiece you should have gotten it for reasons way past sexual orientations.
The gameplay on the original was already very solid, though this one is looking like it could have the most natural AI, animations blend and weight of action I've ever seem, so yeah, it looks real.
Then the fact you didn't mention Ghost ot Tsushima, Seriko: Shadows die Twice or Nioh 2 (although we saw just a tiny cinematic, Nioh gameplay is as good as action rpgs or non rpgs had ever been) is concerning to me to validate your opinion on anything else.
Either you go samurai or you go home. Enough said.

Ellie isn't Joel daughter, unless you mean that she basically became his surrogate daughter, which does feel like it honestly. Still, we've known ellie was attracted to girls, but for all we know, she could be bi. It's fairly bold for the developer to re-reveal or remind us of it when all eyes are on it but I welcome it. Glad to see you showing some love to some of the smaller titles, there's a plethora of fantastic indie/AA games on the horizon that get overshadowed with our petty fights about exclusives.

To both: Oh you know what I mean, people: surrogate daughter. Nitpicky, nitpicky. Yes, I have played through The Last of Us and enjoyed it! I'm just saying that I'm even MORE excited about TLOU2! That's all.

To BraLoD: I don't feel that I owe you an apology for the fact that Ellie's orientation is one of the things about TLOU2 that I find appealing. Yes, I have the Left Behind DLC and knew that she was a lesbian character. But that was a DLC package and I was just a little bit worried that they would shy away from that aspect of her life in a proper sequel.

To Areym: Absolutely! In fact, most of the games I tend to really get into anymore are smaller, independently-developed games. They often feel more sincere to me.
