That's what Iw as thinking. When you've got a project that's quite old and old assets that are highly unlikely to be used, you pretty much end up seeing the project being picked up and taken to a different point. We saw it with SC Ghosts in the form of mini campaign DLC, content that also changed drastically from what we were originally shown. Ni-Oh seems to have taken that same route over time.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
