Why do we still look forward to Nintendo's E3 directs?

That'd be terrible. Let's hope the folks at Nintendo change their minds. I've been told that Nintendo's pre-recorded "presentations" are the future and much better than live conferences where fans can show their enthusiasm as well as interact with each other and the developers.
