Nintendo and Microsoft hardware are able to cross-play.

Sony's the odd man out on this one.

Another way Larry could have put it:

If you plan to play PUBG on PS4, just wait a little longer... You haven't been able to play and continue to be left out because we used our software, resources, and financial strength to keep the game off the PS4 platform, knowing full well that since Bluehole could only launch on a single console initially, we weren't going to let that be PS4. We also just acquired a bunch of studios, but not Bluehole, because we are pro consumer if you haven't noticed.

PS on the other hand, has locked down Fortnite accounts to the PS4 platform, and won't allow cross play or cross accounts. They did however refrain from locking the game down completely so that all other possible platforms could play and enjoy the game as well. If you haven't noticed, they are super anti consumer!

Thumbs Up

You make a very valid point. Microsoft's abduction of PUBG was scummy. That does not absolve Sony of anything either and right now, as it should always be, it's about playing these two against one-another to get what's best for the consumer or at least punish anti-consumer moves.
