How exactly is it any different than labeling people "entitled" or saying they're "whining"? Seems like the pot calling the kettle black, here.

Fortnite isn't the normal multiplatform game, though. And that's wrong, anyway. I can link my PSN and XBL accounts to the same Ubisoft account and earn rewards playing Ubisoft games that I can use on whatever platform. I can use the same EA Sports account for Madden on Xbox One and PS4, and every other EA game as well. I use the same 2K account for Evolve and Battleborn on both PS4 and Xbone. Since you seem so sure that Sony literally locks your account from being used on other platforms, can you please list all of these games that do this?

It's not a normal policy. If I try to log into my Uplay account that I used for Rainbow Six on PS4 on my Xbone to play through Far Cry 5, I don't get any error messages saying my account is locked. It works just fine. If I log onto Madden on Xbone I log in with the same EA account I use on PS4. And so on and so forth. The difference here is these accounts are basically use for rewards for playing publishers games. Fortnite on the other hand actually allows you to transfer and use content bought on one platform onto another platform. Your cosmetics are not tied to your platform you bought them on, but rather the account you bought them with. Again, since you seem to think this is such a common thing on the platform, what other games allow purchased content to carry over to other platforms, but lock you out of ever transferring your account to another console if you've ever used it on PS4? It must be quite a substantial list considering how condescending you're being to people who didn't know about it.

Not knowing the #4theplayers company was going to pull a shitty anti-player move = shooting yourself in the foot. Hilarious.
I don't care much for Fortnite, but you really have to applaud what they are doing with their content, allowing you to carry it to whatever platform you want. The game is more than popular enough that they could tie it down to individual platforms if they wanted, and still make tons of money. What's happening here is Sony understands how big Fortnite is and wants as little people as possible playing on other platforms because that means cosmetics might be bought on those consoles instead of PS4. So they're locking the accounts down. It's scummy, and instead of repeatedly pointing out how other games work, just be fucking appreciative of how Fortnite works and how crummy it is that Sony is blocking something that could help change how content is locked down on consoles. Maybe one day buying DLC on a game on one platform can unlock it on any platform you play the game on. Sounds great for gamers. No need to rush to Sony's defense because they might make a tiny sliver less money, potentially.
