I also prefer batteries.  When my batteries are getting close to the end, I can swap them out, be back online in 15 seconds, and continue playing wirelessly.  When my DS4 dies, I have to plug in.  

Just get some high quality rechargeable batteries and a decent charger.  For a $25 investment, you'll never have to plug that controller in to anything.
