when sony announces 80 million sold we will know how off they are. |
We already know based on Sony disclosure of sales.
https://variety.com/2018/gaming/news/ps4-sales-2017-1202790020/ 73.6M at December 2017
https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ps4-sales-hit-79-million-nearly-topping-ps3/1100-6458569/ shipped 79 by March 2018.
http://www.vgchartz.com/article/272360/765-million-million-playstation-4-consoles-shipped-as-of-december-31/ shipped 76.5 and sold 73.6
so basically that would make the shipping of 2.5M and sales of 3M on Q1 per IHS... or Sony having almost the same level of inventory in shelf in year holiday and Q1 end, and a high number at that (2.4M). Doesn't make much sense.
