Fortnite - warning DO NOT play on PS4, or you can't play on Switch (and quick start guide if you're sheltered like me, and didn't know about this game before)

Whats up with all these people so quick to defend Sony that they don't even get the point?

No one's complaining about cross play. People don't want to play with or against PS4 owners. People just want their accounts that they have progress and paid content on. Epic accounts, third party accounts completely separate from Sony.

And also missing the point that Sony doesn't block transfer from other platforms.  Rather, they allow it without any warning that once an account is linked to PSN, it is trapped on PSN.  So if you racked up 500 hours on Xbox Onr X and then linked to PSN to play with a friend or something, your progress is now stuck on PS4.  Sony's  not just blocking crossplay, they have laid out a trap to try and force Fortnite players to play on PS4 as the only console option.
