unpopular opinion. am fine with VR being in gaming. and if Sony had a division outside of Playstation working on VR. i wouldn't care

but I don't really  like it at all. most 3rd party exclusives from indiependent devs are VR titles and pretty much all the exclusives we get are from 1P

don't get me wrong some of these games are good. but the vast majority do not need to be VR. a lot of them are third person isometric platformers that don't even make any sense to have on VR.

this isn't as bad as playstation move. but we've seen tens of VR titles. exclusives as well. how many of the VR-only titles were groundbreaking games? most of them get mediocre to bad reviews.

its just a lot of time and resources and manpower used on something that isn't ready to be as good as traditional gaming when it could have brought us many good hits.

As you pointed out  I thought first person is the only thing that makes sense in VR  but then I played the little robot demo thing which was a 3D platformer and I absolutely loved it. Not only did it work  but I really hope to see a R&C, Rayman and other games in VR. The immersion is brilliant and it is what helps take platforming games to the next level imo.
