I think this is a big question mark.  MS was pretty clear, a couple of years ago, that they said that they're done with generations.  But, they ave been conspicuously silent on that topic for a while now.  Makes me think they've changed their mind.

That sounds about right to me.  Personally, I'd probably pick up every-other hardware release in each console family.

It is very confusing to me as well.  Some clarity from MS is needed before I can seriously consider the purchase of an XBX.
