Nintendo showed what they needed to show to have a successful 2018, and they mostly showed games releasing in 2018 unlike a lot of others... I'm personally a huge fan of Smash, Pokemon, and Mario party so in my eyes, I think the conference was great. If you're not a fan of those games, then sure maybe not so much. But that could be said about any conference.

The only game I cared about from the Sony conference was Spiderman, but a lot of other people liked it. It's all about perspective. And when you consider that Nintendo basically split their E3 in half, focusing on 2019 games later in the year, I think this was handled decently. You don't need to show everything at E3 if you're like Nintendo and have directs throughout the year.
