What do you mean lazy? They literally brought back all the characters + made changes to some characters + added some new gameplay elements such as the perfect shield

switch is there nextgen system, its a good deal more powerful then wiiu, yet looks exactly the same as a 2013 wiiu game, it's just not impressive.

While Switch is more powerful, it is no where near the jump to get a huge graphical departure. Even games like Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Splatoon 2 don't look miles above graphically from their Wii U predecessors. What is very impressive here and with the games mentioned above isn't that their graphics are massively better than Wii U (they aren't) but that you can play games of this caliber on a portable handheld.

Going beyond the graphics, this game has new characters, new stages, new mechanics. Its relationship to Smash 4 Wii U is more similar to a sequel like Splatoon 1 to Splatoon 2 (a game that also looks graphically similar to its predecessor but with a new story, modes, stages, and mechanics) as opposed to an enhanced port like Donkey Kong.
