Here’s the thing. Halo and gears are both declining and far from their superstar status during the 360 era. Sony has such massive momentum they don’t need to do much for ps5 except make it stronger (obviously), great price point, developer friendly hardware, and continued great first and third party support.
Microsoft right now has the hardware, but they need the games. Their e3 conference saw them acquire some good new talent, but it’s a question mark until we see the games they’re making.
While I’m sure japan and Europe will still heavily back Sony, the US should be much closer if not more on Microsoft’s side next time. But like cgi said, they’ll need something new and big to hook ppl away from Sony, who’s had a very good gen. Graphics won’t be enough.
Either way, I’m excited for the future. Roll on 2020.
