Are people seriously comparing this to that god-awful 2015 presentation? That one not only had pretty much no exciting announcements, but also several bait-and-switches of would-be interesting games instead turning out to be crappy spinoffs like Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival and Metroid Prime Federation Force. This one lacked surprises, sure, but I think what they showed off was decent. For one thing, they showed off the first Mario Party game in about 10 years that looks like something I'd want. Daemon X Machina and Overcooked 2 looked pretty cool too. And of course they really sold me on Smash.
But yeah, I agree. Too much time was dedicated to Smash. They really needed more content. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Pretty similar to their massively overrated 2017 presentation for me.
