Really weak show. I mean yeah, they went all out with Smash instead of just porting 4, and even as someone who's not a fan of the series Ultimate looks pretty rad, but other than that it was just abysmal; not a single major new game announced, just DLC and mediocre filler. It's frankly quite appalling that this is all they have to show for themselves at this stage in the system's life, after combining their development teams no less.
I had low expectations going in, and I was still taken aback by how anemic their showing was.
Looks like I'll be buying just 2 Switch games this year. Most years of the Wii U were better than this. The resurgent Nintendo of 2017 is a fading memory, and we're back to the lazy, under-delivering Nintendo of 2011-2016.
*Exhales* Vent over. Just needed to get that outta my system. Now I'm gonna try my hardest to move on and not dwell on it.
