Just because a game is running on a system at E3 doesn't mean that it will ever actually be released for that system ...

His prediction can come true up until the day the game is actually released

I never understood the logic behind that prediction.

Coming to another platform is one thing, but not coming out for the platform it was originally developed for - is another. There is no reason for them to NOT bring it to the PS3. 

 

 

I don't think it is a likely situation, but similar things have happened in the past and will likely happen in the future ...

My point was that Metal Gear Solid 4 doesn't have a solid release date so it is possible that it could switch platform if Konami wished it. It is also possible (however unlikely) that Konami could decide that they would never recover the ammount of money currently spent on production of MGS4 by releasing it on any next generation platform and they could cancel it rather than take greater losses; most games are canceled for this reason and the only thing that makes this unlikely is the number of copies MGS would sell on any platform.
