E3 conference is about presentation. Microsofts was more entertaining and well put together.

Both conferences showed multiplats that both systems will have yes. If you want to get technical, one could argue that they will all run better on the xbox one x, so point for Microsoft in that regard, or else if you don't care about that, they tie.

As for exclusives, Microsoft showed off more exclusives in their conference than Sony did. +1 point there. Whether you like Spiderman or Halo more is opinion and thus needs to be put in check.

As for new games shown off, what did Sony show? Uh, Nioh 2, and maybe one could say RE2. But Microsoft had way more new surprises. Halo, Forza, Gears for quick. Sure you may say that's like saying Nintendo showed Zelda, Mario or something. But doesn't matter if excpected, it was a new showing. Sony's four big games were all shown at last years e3, and 3 of the 4 will be shown at next years e3.

Microsofts conference was well planned, organized, excecuted, ect. Sony's had a weird intermission, and I feel was lacking something by not having anyone talk between some of the trailers. It was basically like watching someones E3 trailers playlist on Youtube. I came to watch the game, not the highlight reel. I'm there for the whole experience. The good, the bad, the cringe, the surprises, the let downs, the expected, ect. Like wataching the Superbowl (which many say E3 is gamings Superbowl) I want to watch the commercials, the pre-game, the halftime show, ect. Sony's conference let me down in that regard. The intermission felt like a halftime with no show. The actual show as I said felt like a highlight reel versus watching the actual game.

And in the same regard as Sports. How fun is the Superbowl if someone spoils the game for you. Say you recorded it cause busy and then hear the score before you can watch. That's how I feel when people say Sony won because of games and say who cares how shitty conference was. To me that is like hearing the score of a game or just watching the highlights and not actually seeing the game. You lose a huge part of the experience. Imagine if your team was in the Superbowl and you didn't watch the game but went to bed. The next day you wake up and watch the minute highilights and who won on the news. Compare that to sitting with friends and watching the superbowl through the ups and downs and celebrating or lamenting on the outcome. Which do you think will stick with you longer and will enjoy more in years to come as a fond memory? Regardless of the outcome, the second scenario will be better.

The big 4 was what I cared about, and the gameplay footage was phenomenal.

 

A Halo teaser with no gameplay is nothing special.  A Forza teaser with no gameplay is nothing special.  And Crackdown 3 has been talked about since the X1's conception, so again, nothing special.  Gears should have ended with 3, now they are just dragging it on to the point where it is almost as stale as Halo.

 

I do not watch E3 for entertainment, I watch for news and gameplay previews of upcoming games.  MS conference gave me NO reason to turn on my X1 for new games anytime soon.  They did show me many games that I will play on my PS4 though.

 

Nintendo gave us a lot on Smash.  While it was disappointing, at least it is something I am looking forward to.

 

Sony showed gameplay footage of not one, not two, but 3 games that look phenomenal, coming soon, and can be played no where else.

 

So in terms of selling me on their product...

 

Sony landslide victory

Nintendo distant second

MS dead last

 

Had MS shown a new IP or a revived Scalebound with Fable 4, it would be different for me.  Instead, they gave me the same old crap.  Opinions matter and differ from person to person,  but for me, MS came nowhere close to delivering.
