Assuming there is enough new content to justify it being a new game, I dont agree with you at all.Just to give a quick example:Majoras Mask was almost a reskin of OOT and that was a new game, or sequel, in every aspect of the word.Ill post the same thing I posted for Wyrdness:

Im sorry, but I dont agree with you at all.I dont see a game being new or old(new game or "iteration") being dependant of what assets it uses and what engine it uses.

Lets agree to disagree on this.

My very first sentence was "not every new game in a series uses a brand new engine, and the amount of assets they reuse can vary whether it is an enhanced port, or a brand new game."
Yet you sound as if I didn't even mention that when you say you disagree with me and give Majora as an example. And that's not the case. I'm well aware of cases like Majora's Mask, which is why I said that. But I also explained why I don't consider this as much of a new Smash as an enhanced port.
Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator has new characters, new and rebalanced moves, new stages, new mechanics, etc. But it is considered an upgrade to GG Xrd, rather than a brand new game.

You're free to have your own definition of what a brand new Smash would entail. But it's definitely not as clear cut as pointing to one game and saying "look at that. Case closed."
There's definitely a grey area here, as I said. You don't seem to disagree with that, but you're making it sound as if you are.

So what is you definition of what constitutes as a new Smash, vs what could be an enhanced port?
The only thing I can think of is that this is the first new console Smash where they're seemingly not building a new engine, or focusing on new stages and new characters.

Whatever you want to label it as though, that's just semantics.
When people like me said they wanted a Smash 4 Deluxe, this is exactly what I wanted.

Here, if you still had any doubts:

Its fair that you think its more of an enhanced port rather than a new game, as long as you know thats not a fact.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
