They are probably right as much as people don't want to admit it. PS5/XB2/Switch 2 will be in a lot of ways the last real traditional game generation.
And even during that gen we are going to start to see better streaming services and a shift towards more and more digital purchases.
By the time PS6/XB3/Switch 3 would be ready IMO 5G high speed wireless will be available everywhere in the world and game streaming will start to really take off.
