Sure the PSP is used in other ways but it's goal was to compete with the DS and to get gamers since it is called a handheld console.
Now that they see they don't have that much third party support they try to fool people into believing that it's not competing with the DS.
I can see it works with some people already.
P.S. I love my PSP but I really can't help but laugh at Sony's strategy this gen. They don't seem to be sure what they're doing and don't stop contradicting themselves.
