Dominate? No. Be number 1 globally? Maybe, yes - but not by a huge margin. I suspect Nintendo are banking on a massive Christmas quarter and a big second half for their current financial year, given the first two quarters have no major sellers confirmed yet (Apr-Sep). Entirely probable we'll see Smash sneak into the first half and launch in September alongside the online subscription. Add Pokemon in November and you have two titles that will shift 10 million copies or even more in that quarter and provide a substantial boost to hardware sales. I'd expect see some bundles and Black Friday deals, too.
All evidence points to Switch being popular and providing a boost to major Nintendo franchises (Zelda, Kart, Splatoon, Odyssey). If that holds with Smash and Pokemon, Nintendo are set for a big six months starting in September/October, and a potentially huge Christmas quarter.
