I lurked as I was only interested in the numbers. I started to enjoy the forums and came across a thread I had to have my say on, so I joined. I still posted very little for a few months but the excellent community on this site dragged me in.
EDIT: It was also my first online community and tried to learn how I should act so as not to offend other members.
