Rumor: Pokemon Switch will be revealed soon, launching this year

At the end of that event, 11:30am JST news regarding the upcoming 2018 Pokemon games will be revealed. More "interesting games" i.e. new gen are also being said by the same person to come in 2019.

Of course this all just rumours, but it's not like we have anything else giving us the will to go on.

So 10:30pm ET (3 hours 30 mins from now) is when shit goes down. Not to long a wait to see if all this fuss was warranted then!
