Do you see Cory Balrog defending his game from the countless articles that GOW received for being a haven of toxic masculinity. It doesn't happen at all, the only people who stand up for the constant attacks that games constantly receive are random people on forums and youtubers. And in the end these people get branded as sexist , racist, and countless buzzwords. 

And then you wonder why gamers have such uproars.  

 

Maybe because developers and publishers don't feel a need to, because they possibly agree the sentiments? Of course as I said before we don't have insider access so we can only make assumptions. However your last sentence is funny, as if SJWs and gamers are mutually-exclusive terms and the thought that they are actually gamers is something that you cannot accept.
